Muscle gets terrible PR. Actually people think it is about abs but, it is not.
Muscle is the primary reservoir for glucose disposal in your body. When you contract muscle, it pulls glucose from your bloodstream. Partially independent of insulin. More muscle means more metabolic buffer.
🏋️ Try this beginner circuit
No gym required. Do 3 rounds twice a week.
• 10 squats
• 8 push-ups
• Incline push-ups count
• 10 hip bridges
• 10 rows with a backpack or resistance band
• 30-second plank
🥚 Then add protein at every meal
• Eggs, Greek yogurt, or cottage cheese for breakfast
• Chicken, fish, legumes, or beef for lunch and dinner
• Protein powder when life gets chaotic
Here is the part nobody wants to hear: Muscle loss can start in your 30s if you are not training against it.
